PFA-370 Flyaway
A portable 3.7m carbon-fibre antenna system supporting C, X, Ku, and Ka bands. Designed for rapid deployment and high performance
The PFA-370 is a portable 3.7-metre antenna system designed for flexible deployment. It supports operation across C, X, Ku, and Ka bands in various configurations. The reflector structure is composed of lightweight carbon fibre panels, with feed options including RxO, Tx/Rx, dual-port, or multi-port configurations.
Polarisation can be circular or linear, depending on the chosen feed setup. Customised designs and alternative feed arm options are available, enabling an interchangeable feed structure. The reflector comprises 19 carbon fibre panels and is engineered to be both lightweight and modular, featuring robust components.
The motorised version of the PFA-370 is compatible with the PALS PAC550 military-grade antenna controller. This system includes GPS, position detection, polarisation adjustment, a servo drive system, and a high-performance satellite beacon receiver.
The antenna supports manual, automatic, and single-button satellite acquisition within five minutes. Its feed design ensures high gain, low side-lobe levels, and excellent RF performance.
Designed for multi-band operation, the PFA-370 enables Tx/Rx communication in wind speeds up to 60 km/h and can withstand winds of up to 120 km/h. With the optional pedestal mount, it meets operational wind speeds of 72 km/h and survival speeds up to 150 km/h. The total system weight is under 500 kg, depending on the chosen configuration and mounting options. Deployment can be completed by two operators within 30 minutes, using nine transport cases—each easily carried by two people.
