Cleaning
We supply UV cleaners, manufactured by Hitachi High Tech, for the removal of organic contaminants from sample surfaces for both SEM and TEM processes.
Our plasma cleaner equipment, distributed exclusively for IBSS, relies on plasma at low temperatures for removal of both organic and inorganic contaminants.
Surface modification
We provide a number of effective surface modification techniques for both scanning and transmission electron microscopy. Our dedicated supplier in this area is Quorum, a leader in surface modification equipment for EM.
We deliver sputter coaters for enhancing sample conductivity and preventing the charging of samples during SEM, as well as glow discharge for modification of sample surface characteristics.
Carbon evaporation technology is available for sample preparation across both SEM and TEM to deliver outstanding contrast and conductivity improvements.
Cryogenic Preparation and Observation
Cryogenic techniques allow for impeccable sample preservation and suspension, allowing analysts to observe samples and their delicate structures in a native state, with minimal artefacts.
We deliver and integrate cryo preparation technology for SEM through our partner Quorum, enabling rapid freezing via liquid nitrogen.

Specialised techniques
Our specialist sample preparation supplier Quorum also enable us to deliver critical point dying solutions, allowing preservation of fragile biological samples with liquid carbon dioxide for drying with minimal shrinkage.
