Neoscan N80
High resolution X-ray microtomography benchtop system (micro-CT) designed for accurate 3D scanning
The NEOSCAN N80 is a laboratory X-ray instrument for non-destructive three-dimensional reconstruction of the internal microstructure of objects with micron spatial resolution.
The NEOSCAN N80 is a high resolution X-ray microtomography system designed for accurate 3D scanning. It incorporates a sealed, maintenance-free microfocus X-ray source with a single 2 micron spot for exceptional spatial resolution. Its large-format detector, coupled with a fibre-optic plate and high-resolution scintillator, reduces scan time while delivering superior image quality. The precision electro-mechanical manipulator, combined with microstepping electronics, ensures accurate sample positioning to the nearest micron. The system also includes adjustable stages for different object types and internal shielding for safe use in a standard laboratory environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Some examples of applications:
- Plastic injection moulded or 3D printed parts (medium to large size)
- Light metals (aluminium, titanium)
- Small parts in denser metals (steel, etc.)
- Ceramics
- Carbon and fibreglass composites
- Biological materials (tissue samples, bones, implants, etc.)
- Woods
- Electronics
- Glass
- Geological samples (plugs and cores)
- Pharmaceuticals and packaging
Key Features
- Sub-micron pixel size at maximum magnification - with phase contrast recovery capability
- 2µm resolution at low contrast - 15x higher 3D resolution than micro-CT at 5µm source size
- X-ray source up to 110 kV - covers a wide range of applications
- Accepts objects up to 100 mm in diameter and 200 mm in length
