The HITACHI HF-3300 is a high voltage TEM equipped with the latest generation of cold cathode gun.
HITACHI has been developing this cold cathode technology for more than 25 years and this new generation source operates from 300 to 100kV and is very stable and bright.
The advantage of the cold cathode is that it generates a very homogeneous electron beam in energy which allows the HF-3300 to have a very good sensitivity in elemental analysis (EDX) or in energy loss (EELS).
The HF-3300’s new cold cathode gun produces the brightest and most coherent electron beam on the market, which is the ideal configuration for electron holography applications.
