POMA-35-SPL SOTM
Ruggedised type SOT PALS POMA-35SPL supports both Ku and Ka band operations and can simultaneously achieve Ku & Ka dual-band functionality without changing the feed.
The ruggedised POMA-35-SPL SOTM supports both Ku and Ka-band operation, enabling simultaneous dual-band functionality without the need to swap the feed. It features a direct-drive mechanism for azimuth (AZ) and elevation (EL), offering high reliability, along with a cap-style feed design that ensures efficient performance and reduced side lobes.
This antenna operates independently of GPS by using satellite beacon tracking to correct gyro errors, requiring only manual entry of local latitude and longitude before the initial satellite acquisition. It enables rapid satellite pointing, achieving cold start GPS/BD positioning in under 80 seconds, and hot start (or manual input) in under 60 seconds.
The system is widely deployed across various military unmanned platforms to enhance combat mobility and operational effectiveness. It is also used in emergency command and communications by public security, armed police, fire services, traffic management, safety supervision, and communication authorities—supporting response efforts in flood rescue, earthquake relief, forest fires, firefighting, and civil air defence operations.
