PELCO Low-Speed Precision Saw
The PELCO low-speed precision saw cuts a variety of materials without damaging the surface and is ideal for soft and fragile materials.
The PELCO low-speed precision saw is designed to cut a wide range of materials with minimal damage to the cut surface.
Its reduced speed allows cutting fragile and soft materials that could jam in diamond discs of faster saws.
Hard Biological Specimens
The PELCO low-speed precision saw cuts hard biological specimens such as bones, teeth, implants, and embedded samples. It is useful in biological research, dental applications, veterinary uses, and fisheries management.
Operation
A sample is mounted on a sample holder, an adjustable load is applied with a counterweight, the end of the cut is defined with an automatic stop switch, and the sample is precisely positioned using a micrometer. The cut is performed with a slowly rotating diamond disc and coolant, with the automatic cut-off switch activating upon completion.
Cutting Blades
The PELCO low-speed saw is designed for diamond, cBN, and abrasive discs. Diamond discs are ideal, cBN discs are for ferrous materials, and abrasive blades can cut various materials.
