Simple Origin – Cyro Transfer Holders

The Simple Origin cryo holders can be loaded with two TEM grids – either standard grids or Autoloader grids for ultra stable cryo imaging.

These holders have a long liquid nitrogen (LN2) holding time (10+ hrs), effective cryo protection of samples during cryo transfer and low tip profile and accessories include a workstation with built-in LED and heater and separate units for temperature readout of tip temperature and activated carbon regeneration.

The grid clamping is optimized for ease of use under LN2 conditions. The axis symmetric design of the dewar helps provide a stable center of mass of the dewar for a given level of LN2 while tilting the holder during tomography data collection.

In addition, the ultra low rate of LN2 evaporation helps to increase the stability and performance of the holder due to the near constant center of mass during a tilt series.
